Terms of use

Effective and last updated September 3, 2026.

The short version: the assessment is general information, not a diagnosis and not medical advice. Never use it in an emergency. Call 911 instead. If something goes wrong, our liability is capped.

These terms govern your use of parentshomecare.com, the Parents Home Care assessment, saved and shared results, emails, and optional next steps. By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

The assessment is general information

The assessment is not a diagnosis and not medical advice.

It cannot examine your parent, identify the cause of a change, or replace advice from a doctor, nurse, occupational therapist, social worker, geriatric care manager, lawyer, financial professional, or emergency service.

The result is based only on information entered by the user. It may be incomplete, mistaken, or out of date. A result does not guarantee that a person can remain at home, require a move, or avoid harm.

Emergencies

Do not use this site for an emergency.

Call 911 in the United States or Canada if a person:

  • has fallen and cannot get up
  • is missing
  • cannot breathe
  • cannot be woken
  • may be in immediate danger

If another emergency number applies where you are, call it now.

Answering about another person

You may use the assessment for yourself or to organize observations about another adult.

If you answer about someone else, you represent that you have that person’s permission or legal authority to provide the information.

Do not enter a full legal name, birth date, address, phone number, government identifier, or information unrelated to the assessment.

Saved and shared results

A saved result uses a secret link. Anyone with that link may be able to view the result. Keep it private and share it only with people you intend to involve.

Parents Home Care is not responsible for a recipient’s later use of a link you choose to share, except where law says otherwise.

You may delete the assessment through the saved-result controls. Retention and limited exceptions are explained in the privacy policy.

Optional services and introductions

Zaidey and A Place for Mom are optional next steps. Their services have separate terms and privacy practices.

Parents Home Care does not operate A Place for Mom, choose a community for you, or guarantee the quality, availability, cost, licensing, or suitability of any third-party service.

The complete money disclosure explains the subscription and referral-fee paths.

The partner introduction transfers only a random reference code. You decide what information to provide on the partner’s site.

Acceptable use

You may use the site for personal, family, caregiving, educational, or professional referral purposes. You may not:

  • Use automated tools to submit assessments in bulk.
  • Attempt to access another person’s saved result without permission.
  • Interfere with security, availability, or privacy controls.
  • Enter unlawful, abusive, or intentionally false material.
